Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III is the main protagonist of the How to Train Your Dragon
He is the Viking son of the chief, Stoick the Vast , thus making him heir to the Hooligan tribe, he later becomes the current chief of the tribe. His dragon, Toothless, is a Night Fury, the rarest and most intelligent of the dragon species in the film franchise. After befriending Toothless , he realizes that it was the beginning of his legacy. He is the husband of Astrid Hofferson , the best friend and companion of Toothless.
He is voiced by Jay Baruchel .
