Po Ping , born Lotus Shan , the titular main protagonist of the Kung Fu Panda
He is a Chinese giant panda who is one of Master Shifu 's students, Mr. Ping 's adoptive son, and Li Shan 's biological son. He is also the Dragon Warrior , the one destined to bring a new era of kung fu. While prone to clumsiness, Po is also a prodigy who becomes one of the greatest kung fu masters of all time and succeeds in bringing about a new era.
For films and Dragon Knight , he is voiced by Jack Black , who also voiced Lenny from Shark Tale .
